Why I Created The Rainy Chapter
Every story has a rainy chapter. The kind of chapter where the path ahead isn’t clear. The kind of chapter where you’re carrying more than most people realize. The kind of chapter that tests your strength, your patience, and sometimes even your confidence. I’ve experienced those chapters myself.
As an educator and school leader, I’ve spent years supporting students, families, teachers, and staff. It’s work that I love deeply, but like many helping professions, it can also be demanding, emotional, and at times, incredibly lonely. What I’ve learned along the way is that the people who spend their days encouraging others often need encouragement themselves. We celebrate milestones, solve problems, support our communities, and show up day after day because we care. Yet many of us quietly carry the weight of responsibility without taking the time to refill our own cups.
The Rainy Chapter was born from that realization. I wanted to create something that felt personal. Something that would arrive in a mailbox and instantly bring a smile to someone’s face. Something that would remind someone that they are seen, appreciated, and not alone.
The Rainy Chapter isn’t just about bookmarks, stickers, or paper goods. It’s about creating moments of encouragement. It’s about building a community that understands both the challenges and the beauty of growth. Because the truth is, rainy chapters aren’t the end of our story. They’re often the chapters where we learn the most about ourselves. They’re the chapters that teach resilience and shape who we become.
My hope is that every collection I create serves as a reminder that even on difficult days, your work matters, your presence matters, and your story matters.
